Discussions Questions to Consider
1) Certain people thought Jesus was the Prophet and others thought he was the Messiah/Christ. It was hard to understand or believe that Jesus could hold more than one title (Prophet, Priest, and King). Question: What title is difficult (or easy) for you to see Jesus as. Example: Maybe it is easy for you to see Jesus as King but it is hard to see him with the title of friend. Maybe it is easy for you to see Jesus as GOD but its hard for you to see Jesus with the title as Man. 2) The Temple Guard said "No one ever spoke the way this man does." What is something you have read from Jesus, the bible, or that you have heard God speak to you that has impacted or changed you in way that nothing else has. Could be from today, this week or previous occasion.
3) Why do you think what Jesus said from verses 37-38 were so hard for the people to come to the same conclusion about who he was?
[Jhn 7:37-38 NIV] 37 On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them."
